Throwback Thursday - Convergence Week 3 - Shut Up & Take My Money

"There Is An Odd Lack of Consistency"

If you skipped out on DC Comics' "Big Event" this year, titled Convergence but now realize that it actually had some fairly interesting ramifications and you'd like to know what books are essential and what you can skip, I've got you covered. Just be sure to check back here every Thursday and Friday in June to get up to speed. If this article looks like a case of TL;DR then just be sure to subscribe to Channel 52 where a co-host and myself provide both bubbly banter and in-depth blow by blow analysis of the week's highlights and lowlights.

Convergence Week 3 (Variant Covers)

The Basics - Convergence was DC Comics' "Big Event" for 2015. It was billed as a two-month weekly limited series. Convergence spun out of the final issues of the weekly series, Earth 2: World's End and The New 52: Futures End. The story involves Brainiac collecting cities and inhabitants from various timelines that have ended, trapping them in domes on a planet outside of time and space and opening them up to see what happens. Notable during this event is the return of DC characters from before the 2011 Flashpoint storyline that led to the creation of The New 52 DC Universe. Week 3 of Convergence was all about the heroes from Crisis on Infinite Earths.
