Throwback Thursday - Convergence Week 1 - Too Soon?

"Now We Can Talk About This Properly!"

I wasn't expecting for my April and May to be so jam packed at the last minute so there wasn't much coverage on DC Comics' big event on either my podcast, Channel 52 or this blog. But no worries, I'm here NOW and I'm going to guide you through this weird, torrid mess(for a more in-depth look and to hear another opinion besides mine, be sure to check out the podcast when you get a chance).

If you skipped out on the event but now realize that it actually had some fairly interesting ramifications and you'd like to know what books are essential and what you can skip, I've got you covered. Just be sure to check back here every Thursday and Friday in June.

The Basics - Convergence was DC Comics' "Big Event" for 2015. It was billed as a two-month weekly limited series. Convergence spun out of the final issues of the weekly series, Earth 2: World's End and The New 52: Futures End. The story involves Brainiac collecting cities and inhabitants from various timelines that have ended, trapping them in domes on a planet outside of time and space and opening them up to see what happens. Notable during this event is the return of DC characters from before the 2011 Flashpoint storyline that led to the creation of The New 52 DC Universe.
