Also can you believe there only two new shows and both of them are on ABC? Do the titles pique your interest? If so, let me know which one and why in the comments below.
TV News Update - Milo Ventimiglia Gets Recurring Role on Gotham
Milo Ventimiglia, Adam Levine stand-in and Heroes alumnus has been cast in a recurring role on the FOX's freshman drama, Gotham as a character by the name of Orge.
Ventimiglia character's real name is Jason Lennon and is described as "handsome, wealthy and seductive". But underneath all of that hides a serial killer who’s been murdering young women in Gotham for almost a decade in his search for a perfect mate.
Now there’s an Ogre in the DC Comics mythology but the Gotham character is unrelated and is an entirely new creation for the show. He’ll debut in the 19th episode of the season.
Nice to have Ventimiglia in something DC comics related for a change seeing as how he been busy after Heroes voicing characters for Marvel Anime and Ultimate Spider-Man lately. But this role is just the beginning for Ventimiglia in 2015 he has starring roles in TNT’s Mob City and the upcoming mid-season drama The Whispers on ABC.
TV News Update - Lucifer on FOX
It looks like FOX wants to do even MORE business with DC because it's being reported that a show based on Lucifer by Neil Gaiman has just received an official pilot commitment. Tom Kapinos (Californication)has been tapped to head up development of the series. Lucifer is described as "a slice-of-life" drama in and out of Hell as well as Los Angeles.
The comic book followed the story of Lucifer who had grown bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano bar called Lux.
Here's hoping they can convince David Bowie to play the lead role, you know since Neil Gaiman designed the character in his image after all.
